Review: Originally purchased Roberts Stream 94L as I now like to use my iPad / iPhone Bluetooth to listen to stream to radio. However whilst the build and quality of the Stream was superb I found setting up just too fiddly to do so and returned for refund. As usual with Amazon I received it as soon as radio was left with Hermes store. As I still wanted the same facilities but in an easier set I ordered the Roberts Bluetune 5 and I am very pleased with my decision and the radio. It was rather larger than I expected and as well built and nicely designed as per Roberts Radios. So I found this model easy to set up for DAB & FM, store 20 preset stations , 10 of each, it has a large easy to read dimmable facia with just 2 knobs for tuning and volume. The rubber feet are a good and useful feature . This radio has 2 alarm functions using either a radio station or a buzzer audio. I have not tethered to a blue tooth source as yet however this is a very good , simple, not complicated radio and will recommend to anyone.

Review: I'm really pleased with this Roberts Blutune radio. I am pretty picky when it comes to sounds quality and have been pleased with the sound from this medium size radio. I sure it around the house and outside in the garden and find the volume range covers both small, quite rooms and also goes loud enough to hear across the garden when outside. I would have preferred the radio to have a built in battery and charger like the Roberts Vintage (which I also own) but the one thing this radio gives you is the ability to put in fresh batteries and be working straight away if you are away from mains power for a while. I also just purchased some rechargeable and a charger to cut down on the long term expense as DAB does tend to use up the batteries fairly quickly, i.e a couple of days of moderate/heavy use. The wooden case has proved pretty robust to date and I've been using it outside on all kinds of rough surfaces. I have also found the reception to be very good, even with the aerial down but this of course depends on the signal strength in your area. One feature I'm not mad on is that the station display flashes with every click of the wheel to select and display a new station, seems weird and unintuitive to me but only a minor point.
