Review: The media could not be loaded. I like the design. No possibility of the stand leaving any marks on the guitars. You do need to tighten the bolts on occasion as they’ll loosen off over time.

Review: I was given a pair of Kinsman stands years ago (2014) and they were superb, so I've been recommending them ever since. I bought several more stands recently (2018), and they are a poor comparison -- worse materials, wonky construction, scuffed and battered from the factory, and design changes that have rendered the electric stands unusable. The photos show the 2018 stand on the left and the 2014 stand on the right. The key changes that will matter most to you are: 1) The rear supports are now vertically in-line with those on the base, which means the guitar sits vertically in the stand, not at a recline. One of my new stands leaves the guitar teetering, in the other it just falls forward immediately. 2) The old (2014) stands were always just a bit too narrow in the black bits on the base to comfortably accommodate a Les Paul or hollow body (they'd either grab or the guitar would sit on top of the base a bit) but you could get away with it because of the recline. The new (2018) stands have lost an additional 5 mm, which is just too narrow. The new acoustic stands, although suffering from the same general poor quality, at least work as guitar stands. The electric stands would need a lot of attention from a chisel before they could even hold a narrow solid body guitar. Sadly I would not recommend taking the risk on the electric stand until Kinsman demonstrate that they've fixed these issues.
