Review: I was happily surprised to open the box and find that this appliance is made of solid plastic that feels strong and good quality. Not at all like the horrid flimsy,fragile, brittle plastic that so many domestic appliances are made of nowadays. I was also pleased with the versatility - there are 3 different blender/mixer/chopper cups with blades. I bought it for the blender option (making soups and sauces etc) but I've found myself making lots of smoothies instead! It required some concentration to read the manual and work out what bit fits where but I soon got the hang of it all. In use it's a powerful gadget and I've not found that I've needed to leave it on for any longer than the Kenwood recommended time to get the results I want. It was a big plus that the smoothie mixing cup doubles as a smart, robust drinking cup to-go (with a strong, leakproof lid) that you can take anywhere with you. It arrived well before stated delivery date, well packaged and with good instructions. I'm quite picky about the tools and gadgets I use in my kitchen and I'd definitely recommend this blender - it's well designed and made and good value. **Please note - I bought this from Amazon, it was about £9 cheaper with free delivery too. I don't know how my review has ended up on this seller's page.

Review: We got the the item 6 months back. The item is under 2 year warranty. However, over the past 6 months after continuous usage, I noticed that the plastic accessories started cracking and finally parts (locking mechanism) broke away. This I believe is due to their poor design and manufacturing. If it progresses like this, I am sure before 2 years the item will be unusable without a replacement. Only reason I am marking as 2 star is because the main jar is still working (probably due to less usage). Otherwise, I would have provided 1 star. I now see the cost has increased many folds and and I believe it is not a value for money at such a cost. Hence, I would not recommend the item for purchase.
