Review: I've used a few microwaves in life now. I bought this one as I was on a budget and had to get everything for a new flat. Seemed to get good enough reviews so thought I'd chance it. However, I have some gripes after using it for a few months: 1) It takes longer than any microwave I've used to heat things up. e.g. scrambled eggs now take somewhere between 6 and 10 minutes compared to the old 3 minutes in the old one. 2) I have no proof of this, but I am unconvinced all areas inside the microwave are covered. There are often cold spots in the food, even though it's spinning around in there for a substantial amount of time. 3) There's no exact time setting - just a stiff analogue dial you have to set. So if you want to microwave your eggs for 6 minutes, you have to guesstimate this using the dial. this means you really need to be using the microwave square on, not off to an angle. This is not ideal given where I have to put mine due to space restrictions. 4) When it finishes cooking there is a loud bell sound. Some people might actually prefer this to the standard electronic beep but I don't as noise travels between my flat and the one next door and it sounds absurd, especially when I have to keep putting things back in again as they're not hot enough yet! Other than that, it works. It has a defrost setting and 3 power settings. Why anyone would want the first two power settings though I can't imagine, as full power is so weak. I tell you what it is great for - melting butter - because with a more powerful microwave its very easy to overdo it. Whereas in this one it takes about 20 seconds to make an impact on butter out of the fridge. Another positive I can think of: it fits an M and S dinner plate inside. Now while these aren't giant Alan Partridge plates, they're not the smallest plates either so I was quite pleased with that.
