Review: I bought this TV to replace an 8 year old Sony TV. The picture is fabulous. It took a bit of fiddling around with the settings to get the picture I wanted. It looks great with regular HD television pictures via my Virgin V6 box. The sound quality is also (to me at least) very good as well without any soundbar. The 4k content via You Tube, BBC I player or Amazon looks absolutely stunning. Fantastic lifelike colours on things like Blue Planet. I have watched various reviews and experts talking about all kinds of technical details which I don't fully understand. In the end I just went with what looks good to me. The only minus points are that setting up an LG account was very fiddly involving an LG app. The "magic remote" is also fiddly for me. I confess I have not really utilised the voice remote function. Overall though this is a great TV, great picture and sound and I love it !

Review: As many technical reviews will tell you the picture quality is excellent BUT what they don't tell you is LGs disgraceful bloody minded lack of warning to carefully unpack the TV or how to assemble the stand. The TV comes in a very large box with two sturdy plastic bands around it, there are no warnings on the outside. I cut the bands took then decided I needed more space to lay the TV out so picked the box up to move it, after I had lifted it a couple of inches the TV fell trough the bottom of the packing THIS IS INTENTIONAL! Luckily I hadn't lifted far off a thick carpet and no damage was done - but if it had stuck for a few seconds then dropped on to a concrete floor..... Once you have taken out the top polystyrene packing you come to the "instructions" a series of small pictograms only much of it incomprehensible. To assemble the stand two sets of screws are needed, the screws are labeled with 20 bit alpha numeric part numbers while pictogram shows them as A and B they are almost identical in size but one set is self tapping so be careful you don't use the wrong screws a careful look at the pictogram shows that B has a self tightening washer. The parts are poorly manufactured and brute force is required to get them to fit, I doubt that I could take the stand apart without damaging it. There is no user guide to the TV or remote included. To get to the TV user guide select the settings symbol on the remote (not labeled), then choose All settings (3 dots) from the task bar on the left, then Support and finally select User Guide.
